As we are on the eve of Apple’s iPad event, which will undoubtedly involve some sort of new iPad, maybe an updated Apple TV, and a few unexpected surprises, I thought I would take a moment to throw out my list of predictions for your reading pleasure. Most of these are a compliation of rumors I’ve heard over the last few months from other sites, but I’m not looking at evidence of a screen found at a factory or a shell found somewhere else. Although there was plenty of speculation, we finally can say that the next iPad will arrive in a week from tomorrow. Apple has sent out invitations to the usual suspects in the press for an event and it also sounds pretty cookie-cutter for an Apple event: 10AM Pacific, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco…

Although the deadline was supposed to be next week, Apple posted a notice on its developer site that it was moving the date for OS X apps purchased through the Mac App Store to be sandboxed to June 1. Essentially, this would make OS X apps behave like their iOS cousins—they cannot interact with your computer outside of their specific confines.
