Awhile back, we checked out the Foofpod, an Australian iPod case. The line has expanded to include larger variants of the case for Apple’s batch of MacBooks. It may seem rather simple, but does it offer enough protection for your computer?

With Apple’s notebooks becoming their main bread-and-butter product line, more and more people are getting their hands on them. Unfortunately, the new architectures also have led to more power and even more heat than the already hot PowerBook G4s from a few years ago…

The Tom Bihn ID is a pretty nice messenger bag, especially if you have to carry a lot. What if you want something a little smaller, say, for just your laptop, a few papers, and an iPod? Most people would buy a generic laptop case, but many times the messenger bag component is left out. The $85 Imago is essentially the ID’s “little brother”, but offers a design that might appeal to the younger crowd and is available in two “types”—Yin and Yan.

We’ve reviewed a number of backpacks for Apple’s notebooks, ranging from hardshell models to huge carry-everything-including-the-kitchen-sink models, and things in between. This time, we had the opportunity to try out Pacific Design’s Action II Backpack XL, a $50 backpack that is designed to serve as both a standalone backpack and a computer bag.
