There’s only one Mac OS X. There’s only one October. Dane Cook MLB references aside, Apple came clean with a specific date we’ll be able to get our hands on Mac OS X 10.5, also known as Leopard.
In an almost déjà -vu of 4 years ago when we saw Panther, Apple will be releasing the latest version of OS X at 6PM on Friday, October 26. Expect to see it at Apple’s retail stores and Apple Authorized Resellers, as well as Apple’s online store (which you can actually pre-order right now).
Including all of the features you’ve already heard about, Leopard will set you back $129, $116 if you’re a student, and $499 for the 10-user server edition.
